Education is always changing. As a teacher it can be hard to keep up. Let me take some of the leg work out of it for you.
This is your one stop shop for resources and links that I share in my Pro D sessions, as well as some other extra tidbits that I've added along the way.

Reading & Writing
I love Adrienne Gear's blog and website! If you haven't discovered the vast number of book lists and other resources that she has up there you absolutely need to go check them out.
Teach Mentor Texts is another wonderful resource for finding "gems", "mentor texts", "anchor texts", "exemplars", whatever you want to call them. The books are tagged by category and each review clearly explains appropriate age range, topics covered, similar books, reading and writing strategies and more!
Read Write Think is put together by the International Reading Association and has heaps of lesson plans, scholarly articles and more at your fingertips. Of particular interest are the Strategy Guides (found under Professional Development) which provide educators with guidance in implementing the latest in best practice.
Teach Hub is a wonderful resource chock full of strategies, suggestions and lesson ideas, not to mention our favourite feature - video writing prompts, complete with lesson plans for every grade level!
La Classe de Karine & Mme Bellefeuille are two French Immersion bloggers who have really great resources on their websites. If you are a FI teacher I highly recommend you check these websites out, as there are so few people offering quality FI resources out there!

Books We Love!
I love picture books! I love reading them to little kids, big kids, heck, I even read them to adults. This is the ever-growing list of my favourites for teaching all aspects of literacy.
Professional Reading
I do a ton of professional reading - books, journals, blogs, and more! These are some of my "go to" resources, the ones filled with stickies and notes and dog-eared pages.

Apps We Love!
Here are some of the apps I think need to be on your school (& personal!) iPods & iPads. Check back regularly - as I write blog posts about how to use each of these apps, I will link to them from here.
